New American citizen in Yakima
Congratulations to Staff Accountant Min Won!
It will be seven years ago in June that Yakima Staff Accountant Min Won arrived in the United States from South Korea. But as of this February, he will have a new anniversary to celebrate: the day he became a United States citizen.

Min went through his citizenship ceremony on February 9, completing a four-month process—a relatively short amount of time for anyone in his place.
“One of the INS officers said it usually takes at least one to two years to get citizenship, so it seems I was lucky,” Min said.
Min’s wife and two daughters, ages five and three, are all citizens. This experience has, understandably, been life changing for him.
“Since I am a Christian, I can add one more prayer to my list not only for the country I am living in, but also for the country I now stand for,” he said. “I’m delighted to feel that this is now my country, and I’m proud of her.”

Our Yakima office held its own ceremony for Min in February, complete with an "official certificate," cake and many smiles.
Min will be visiting South Korea this coming April. Congratulations!
