Moses Lake also has a number of parks and campgrounds, and is surrounded by the natural beauty of the Columbia Basin. The lake offers many outdoor activities, such as water skiing, jet skiing, para-sailing, fishing, birding, sailing and pleasure boating. In addition to nature's attractions, Moses Lake also has the Moses Lake Family Aquatic center, which includes a wide, shallow pool area with large theme-park-style toys, a sandy beach, two 200-foot water slides, an Olympic-size competitive pool, tube slide, a large deck and patio area, two sand volleyball courts, a picnic shelter and children's playground. Moses Lake is also home to a number of golf courses, a municipal ice skating rink, and a farmer's market. Culturally, Moses Lake offers the Adam East Museum and Art Center, which is known for its historical exhibits and rotating shows of regional artists. Moses Lake is also home to the Centennial Theatre, an outdoor ampitheatre that features grass bowl seating on the lakefront, and is home to a free summer concert series. Moses Lake is the largest school district in the Columbia Basin, with an enrollment of over 6,000 students, served by eight elementary schools, two middle schools, one high school, one alternative high school, and one alternative middle school. The district also has a birth-to-three program and a preschool program for students with special education needs. Parents have the option of enrolling their child in the school in their service area or any other school in the district.
